Orbit AGM will take place on 11th May 2024

We are delighted to inform you that our Annual General Meeting will take place on Saturday 11th May at 5pm in our 63 seat cinema. The agenda for the meeting can be found at the bottom of this email.

Subject to network capability, we are also looking to stream this meeting on our YouTube channel to allow those who cannot attend in person to watch.

This co-insides with our 5th Birthday Open weekend where we are celebrating 5 years since we opened our doors, with building tours, free slice of birthday cake/drink for tour attendees, meet the project team and much more – learn more.

   • Motion 1 – that the Society agrees the Rules should be amended to include in addition a further object “to provide for the running of a community cafe offering volunteering opportunities throughout the community”. (see explanatory note).

1. • Motion 2 – that the Society agrees that the Society will prepare the accounts for the year ending 31st December 2024 without the need of an audit but will be the subject of an assurance review prepared by a firm of chartered accountants.
